Good to Know

(1) Physical Fitness
Climbing the mountain above 6000  is one of the challaning and technical job. Climbing the highest mountain demands great physical fitness,Climbing skills so before climbing the big mountain One should be physically fit and mentally prepared , One should have previous experience climbing on fixed lines, steep snow climbing experience and be used with crevasee walking techniques. It is long hiking and climbing so without any training you will not be able to achieve your goal. So some basic physical fitness like  squat, Mountain climbers ( which can be done in home),running, biking , stair climbing, and swiming will help lot to do trekking  in the mountains, so it is highly recommanded  2/3 months prior to your departure for the trekking but for Mountaineering  one should take training of climbing, and one should climb some small peaks atleast of 6500 Mtr high peak and mountain for proper acclimatization as well as to be adjust with gears, snow etc.

(2)Foods and Drinks
While in the mountain,  it is highly recommanded you to drink plenty of fluids like water, soups, teas  as well as foods. We will provide the sufficient and hygiene food as per your choice in whole trek.In the basecamp during the climbing period, there will be well facilities of food, drink and many other snacks.

(3)Drinking water
One should drink at least 3-4 litres of water every day in order to get  hydrated the body which helps lot to be away from altitude sickness. While in Climbing we will have our own kitchen crew, so we will have properly treated water to fill up the bottle always on the table.

(4)Best time to Climb ( Weather)
Spring ( Mar-May) is considered as best period to climb the big  Mountains.  it is after the Winter and pre Monsoon season. The best  weather to summit the top of Pumori  is second week April to First week of May, after the full preparation and route fixed. Spring season is pleasant and suitable with warm tempreture for trekking and climbing the big mountains as well, so Everest  basecamp will be full of tents and looks like small tented city.

(5) Altitude Sickness
For the Pumori climbing  we do proper  acclimatization  trip to Lobuche peak that will be proper acclimatization. One dont  go directly to the top, It takes Min one months to  rotation climb for proper acclimatization. First to Camp 1, Camp 2 , Camp 3, Camp 4 and finally summit. In high altitude , the mass of oxygen will be less, so everyone feels difficult to breath as well as mild headache, dizziness etc. This is one of the biggest challanges in mountain. In the altitude, there are many rules to make our body adaptable to the  altitude. Acclimatization is one of the important factor  to adjust our body get used to the altitude. All the climbing itineries are designed with proper acclimatization. and The most important rules that we have to follow in altitude is walk slowly, keep drinking plenty of  fluids as water , soups etc to make our body hydrated, and keep our body warm. Our staffs and guide will always do their best  as they can.

(6)Travel Insurance
It is compulsory to buy the proper travel insurance policy with genuine insurance company, it should cover the emergency helicopter evacuation as well as medical treatment incase of severe injury or sickness and Policy  should include coverage at the altitudes up to 8000Mtr.

(7)Bag pack and duffel bag
Only the neccesary things should be packed and the stuffs which are not neccesary on trek and climbing will be stored in hotel in Kathmandu. All the  climbing gears should be managed by oneself according to instruction by company. Except trekking gears all the climbing gears are  transported before your arrival in basecamp.

(8)Internet Connectivity and cell phone Signal
As per your arrival in Kathmandu airport, there you can buy nepalese Sim card ncell or you can buy anywhere around city. In everest region Ncell signal works untill panboche way to everest basecamp and above Gorakshep . As there will not be internet facilites as Everest basecamp we have to use the internet through Satellite, it is quite costly but You can enjoy with  social media or connects with your family, friends or loved one while on climbing.

(9)Flight to Lukla
Lukla Tenzing hillary airport  is only one airport to get to the Everest region, The mountain weather is always unpredictable and flights always depend on weather, Mostly time of spring and autumn will be good and there will be regular flights .Another option is to take helicopter, for that less visibility  than aeroplane will be work. But helicopter cost is doubled than regular aeroplane cost.
These days due to the high air traffic congestion in Kathmandu airport, domestic flights to/from Lukla is operated from Manthali airport which is 135 KM away from Kathmandu, we have to start early from kathmandu by road to catch the flight from Manthali.

(10)Sanitation
while in trekking in mostly places toilet are  common and need to use the same toilet  using by everyone else. Mostly place there may not be available of hand washing water, so highly recommend to take hand sanitizer by yourself and most importantly toilet papers or wet tissue paper should always  be in your day bag. In  climbing period, there will be toilet tent and all the toilet papers as well as washing water will be available.

(12)Guiding and staffing
In everest region trekking average walk per day is 6-7 hours. Leisurely and pleasant guiding will definitely take you to destination.  More you gaining altitude more hard to walk. For climbing  always should start early before sun hit on. You have to wake up quite early in the morning in order to get to destination  before sun hit. When the sun rised due to reflection  of snow it will be too hard to climb and walk.Your experieced sherpa  guide  will always be there to help you in every moment.Guide is the key factor for the every challanging in mountain so one should follow the instruction of guide pleasantly.

(13) Budgeting
Budegeting depends upon many factors specially in Kathmandu where there are too many choices.Hotels in Kathmandu include in trip cost on basis of BB plan. So average expenses per day in Kathmandu will be Rs 2000 for lunch and Dinner, if you prefer some other activities as  drinks, to do massage, or to go in bar/pub Rs 5000 ( equivalent to USD 50 ) is enough. On the trek as well as during the climbing period, all the meals and hot drinks will be provided by company, On the trek Extra expeses as Hot shower, battery charging, wifi, boiled water for bottle, extra snacks  bars, Soft drinks and hard drinks should borne by  oneself,In average Rs 2000(eqivalent to 20 USD) is enough on the trek. Finally  few tipping is highly recomended and compulsory after the succesful expedition  to your guide and staffs who did great services to you.
