Trip Overview

Declared to be the first-ever National Park of Nepal in the year 1963, the Chitwan National Park Tour is an enthralling voyage through the Churia Hills, ox-bow lakes, and flood plains of Rapti, Reu and Narayani Rivers to the mirk woods rendering shelter to 43 diverse species of mammals including the rare one-horned rhinoceros, tiger, gharial crocodile, gaur, wild elephant, four-horned antelope, striped hyena, pangolin, monitor lizard and python.

Chitwan Jungle Safari provides an alternative angle to jungle exploration as you get to unveil the concealed and dark terrain of wildlands through a secure jeep ride that offers the best bird-watching experience as it possesses total 450 species of birds inclusive of Bengal florican, giant hornbill, black stork, white stork, peafowl, red jungle fowl, egrets, herons, kingfishers, flycatchers, woodpeckers, and several other fowls. March to December is the ideal time for bird watching.
A drive to crocodile breeding center, stopping by the first elephant breeding center in Asia, lifetime opportunity to prepare and offer meals to these elephants, bathing these gigantic beasts in the Rapti River, canoeing through the currents of Rapti River, having aerobic scene of the wildlands through the watchtowers, getting face to face with the raging one-horned rhinos as we join the elephant back riding, bird watching, visiting the nearby Tharu settlements, enjoying the Tharu Cultural Dance and acquainting oneself to the Tharu Culture and many more activities are waiting eagerly for your arrival. Trip Itinerary

Day 1

As soon as you arrive at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu you will be transferred into the hotel. You will be invited to visit the office for a briefing about this tour and to take a permit. Overnight stay at a hotel.

Day 2

A scenic 20-minute flight from Kathmandu passing above several snow-clad mountains will lead us to Bharatpur, a hub station near Narayangadh. Taxies are available in the Airport that will conveniently convey you to the hypnotizing realms of Sauraha.
Alternatively, 6-hours ride through the serpentine road with pleasant views of river and mountains in the backdrop will let us to Chitwan National Park where we will stay in one of the many hotels and lodges crowded in the premises.

 

Day 3

Chitwan is the land of boundless vistas of wildlife. The ceaseless wildlife views prolong as long as the time permits. The activities range from elephant safari, nature walk, canoeing or boating in Rapti River, jeep safari, elephant feeding, elephant bathing, wildlife watching including alligators, one-horned rhinoceros, and tigers, bird watching. The day concludes with a visit to the Tharu Village whereby we will be welcomed with Tharu cultural dance. Eventually, we will make it to the lodge to stay overnight. 

Day 4

Early in the morning, we will enjoy the engrossing sunrise view over the woods of Tarai and then take a flight back to Kathmandu or any other destination from Bharatpur.
